PATA UK Student
Paediatric First Aid and Anaphylaxis Awareness
Repeating the activities helped me to remember what to do. Lots to do so days passed quickly. Tutor made sure we understood everything. I really enjoyed that two days- fun. Excellent teaching and load of practical stuff. Much better than St John’s. The tutor was good and gave us loads of hands on experience.
Harewood Junior School
Appointed Persons in Schools First Aid
This was a very professionally run course, led by an experienced teacher. It was well organised with plenty of opportunity to practice skills learned throughout the day.
Walkers Private Day Nursery
Paediatric First Aid and Anaphylaxis Awareness

We have been using 2nd Chance First Aid for all our first aid / epipen courses for the last 6 years.

After completing first aid training every 3 years for the last 20 years I personally found some training centres in the past have become monotonous and strained in their approach to teaching first aid. With all trainee minds focusing not on the holistic approach to first aid – but the pass or fail re-enactment test at the end of the course.

Thankfully with 2nd Chance First Aid the course is held at a venue of your choice – this helps in keeping a calm environment which inevitably helps staff retain information. Neil ensures the course is suitably tailored to the group and ensures all his information and teaching techniques are currently endorsed practices.

First aid training is a serious training qualification, however my staff (especially new to child care) have remembered lots of detailed information due to the fun yet importantly informative way Neil teaches.

GL11 Community Project
Paediatric First Aid
When we were looking for an affordable, but high quality paediatric first aid trainer, we came across Neil and his company. Neil has proved to be flexible, accommodating, fast to respond and very professional. His approach to teaching focuses on making the course relevant to the students enabling them to easily transfer the knowledge in to their work practice. We will definitely be looking to run further courses using 2nd Chance First Aid with Neil’s prompt, efficient and friendly service.
Tracey Stephens, Workforce Advisor, Gloucester County Council
Child and Baby Emergency Responder Course
Neil delivers First Aid training courses to Gloucestershire County Council’s staff and foster carers. Neil’s training style is friendly but professional and is always able to develop a good rapport with the group. This ensures that delegates are relaxed to enough to participate in the exercises, ask questions, enjoy & learn from the course. He is enthusiastic when delivering training and individually encourages the delegates with the practical exercises. Neil draws upon his vast experience & knowledge as a first aider by giving practical examples which delegates always find beneficial. He also ensures that the courses meets the delegates’ needs and is therefore very flexible in approach.

We always get positive feedback from Neil’s courses and I have personally attended one of Neil’s courses which I thoroughly enjoyed and learnt from. I would not hesitate to recommend Neil for first aid training.

Rugby Player
Activity in First Aid Course
I would like to thank you for providing us with an absolutely first class first aid course. You had obviously done a great deal of research into the RFU recommendations and this, added to your own knowledge of the game of Rugby, enabled the course to be perfectly tailored to our needs. The recording forms you gave us are also a godsend in this day and age of litigation. We are all now confident we can go out on the pitch when the new season starts, ready to deal with anything!
